UNIKEL
As UNIKEL, Victoria Unikel has been painting and exhibiting since 2008. She works in oil, acrylic and mixed media, and in materials most painters never touch — gold leaf, currency, and in the WAR collection, real blood.
Her work is activist before it is decorative. Each collection takes one subject — money, war, gender, luxury — and refuses to make it comfortable. The paintings have been shown in galleries and at art fairs internationally, and written about in the Daily Star, Haute Living, Daily Front Row, Village Voice, LA Weekly and more.
